Based on true events, a young girl's life is turned upside down when her grandmother's strange behavior sparks fears of witchcraft. As her family struggles to reconcile illness with the supernatural, she must navigate the streets of Kinshasa in order to protect the grandmother she knows and loves.

The film supports the work of Dr. Emmanuel Epenge, one of Congo’s few neurologists, in his efforts to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support the families of people living with dementia.

Koko Suzanne made its premiere at the prestigious Encounters Film Festival (UK) in the Grand Prix Competition and is currently screening in film festivals across the globe. It has been acquired by CANAL+ for broadcast tv and streaming on-demand, and becomes available November 10th on CANAL+ Afrique.
